Interval Training

Boxing training is some of the best you can do...as you probably know boxers are some of the most well conditioned athletes in the world, and the main part of there workout is jumping rope, jogging and sparring for caridio and some type of resistance training. It doesn't necessarily have to be weights though many people choose to use the them. I'm a big fan if what is known as interval vs resistance training. Interval training has to do with short burst of high intensity cardio on Day 1.

Day 2 - is resistance like weights or stretch cables, pushups, squats...etc...

Day 3 - you rest and let the work take affect. And start over onday

Day 4 - While eating a good protein lowfat diet.

I'm going to be going in detail with this on my site really soon. But its very affective, I like to use the example on a sprinter vs a long distance runner. Runners 90% of the time have the best mucsle tone with the lowest body fat...this has to do with interval training. When you do prolonged workout like arobics or long distance running, your body will adjust to these workouts very quickly and it starts to take more excericse to lose weight and build muscle. I'm not saying arobics and long distance isn't great for you. But if you're looking for results for how your body looks as well as healthy physical fittness...then interval training is where it is at.
